In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts we had to say our last goodbye to our dear mother Elly Vermeeren. Elly passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 19, 2023, with family by her side. Elly was a loving sweet mother of 5 children, and a loving wife to Wimm who passed away 1 year ago, whom she deeply missed so much. Elly was born July 13,1935 in Breda Netherlands to Maria and Hendrik Vangastal. Elly had 3 sisters, Louise Van Dongon and Annie Lammerse (and twin Narda predeceased). Her 2 remaining sisters still live in Holland. Elly also had many nephews and nieces whom she loved very much. Elly was a beautiful, sweet, kind lady that was loved by so many. She took care of her family, babysat all her grandchildren and even other people's children too. Her main goal was to take care of her husband and make sure all her children and grandchildren were ok. She loved carim, bostina dinners with the family to make sure everyone was together. She also loved Shopping! Wimm would wait for her in the car as she shopped away. Elly met Wimm in the year of 1952 and married in 1957. They had 5 children together. Hank, Jack (Charlene), Eddy (Rita and Eddys twin (deceased at birth), they became grandparents to Chelsia, Andrew, Dillon (predeceased), Jennifer, Savanna, Shawn, Micheal Steven, and Ashton. They were also great-grandparents to Oliver, Lily, Matteo, Etta, and Kylan. Elly stayed by Wimm for 65 years. They loved each other so much. Elly will be deeply missed by all. We love you so much, Mom. Rest in sweet peace. There will be no funeral service, as wished by Elly. We would also like to thank all the staff at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital for their kindness while Elly was there, and the awesome kindness from Dr. Kloppers.
