March 30, 1932 – April 19, 2016 at age 84
Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with her family by her side.
Survivors include her sister Carol LaRose, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, her two daughters, Carol Stegavig (Cliff) Colleen Rivera (Antonio) and son Joe Fitzgerald (Leesa), grandchildren Jonathan Stegavig, Taylor Stegavig, Joshua Rivera, Dayna Fitzgerald, and great grandchildren Tristen, Judd, Trinity, and Jace.
There will be no service by Mom’s request. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Tania DeClerk, and a Special Thank You to all the Prince Rupert Home Care Nurses for their support in her final days.
Ellen enjoyed playing golf, tennis, badminton with her longtime best bud Joyce Paul, spending time in her garden and at the lake with family and friends, and last but certainly not least walking her dog and faithful companion of 15 years, Geordie down by the whale at the waterfront. She will be missed by all who knew her.
