It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Devison surrounded by her family at her side.
Predeceased by her husband Richard in 2014.
She is survived by her children Dave and Carol (Kerry), grandchildren Teresa (Matt) Kylie (Darren) Alysha (Jackson), great-grandchildren Izaiah, Kassie, Dominick, Taylor and Weston who will all miss her greatly and will treasure all the great memories spent together.
Louise was born and raised in Prince Rupert, met and married her husband Richard and made their way to Campbell River in 1970 with Carol and Dave in tow. While raising her young family Louise worked at the Credit Union for 20 years. Louise also worked at Guardian Alarms and HSBC until she retired.
Not one to sit still, Louise enjoyed volunteering her time with Tidemark Theatre and also the Red Cross. Louise also enjoyed time with her grand children, travelling, going to church, music and baking.
Louise was a kind, gentle loving soul and always had goodies to share when a friend stopped by to visit.
The family would like to extend our gracious thanks to the nurses and care-aides at Comox Glacier View Lodge for taking care of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother over the last year and a half.
Another special thank you to the support staff and anyone involved at Discovery Harbour Care Centre. Although Mom was only there a short time, you gave great comfort and care to Mom and her family going through a difficult time.
A funeral service will be held in honour of Louise at 1 pm Saturday November 4 2023, Church of the Way 451-7th Ave Campbell River B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Campbell River District for Community Living- Rivercity Inclusion.
