With love and fond memories, we announce the passing of Edith "Yvonne" Bill on April 9, 2025, at the age of 89.
One of four sisters, Yvonne was born and raised in Prince Rupert, BC and moved to Kelowna, BC, in 2009 to be closer to her children.
Yvonne was a woman of many talents and was incredibly energetic. She was always busy, whether in the kitchen, in the garden, or at her sewing machine.
A skilled cook and seasoned gardener, she cultivated both flowers and vegetables with care and pride. She was known for her beautiful knitting and crochet work and especially for her delicious lefse. She loved to listen to the great crooners, especially Dean Martin. A true Viking at heart, Yvonne was tiny but tough - a strong Norwegian woman through and through. She left a lasting impression on everyone she knew because of her resilience, her spirit, and her great sense of humour.
Her warmth, creativity, and strength will be dearly missed.
Yvonne is survived by her children Rhonda (Jonathan), Nancy (Don), Arlene (Barry), and Corine; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her true love, her husband Danny; her mother, Signa, & Martin "Papa"; her father Oli; and her sisters Reidun, Irene, and Susanne.
