Domenica will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John, her children Christina (Robert) and Heidi (Jeffrey) and her five grandchildren Alexander, Nicholas, Jacob, Emma and Kristian.
Domenica was born in Chiaiamari, Italy on July 1, 1951 to Antonio and Erminia Raponi. She immigrated to Canada as a young teenager. She married John Klement on May 26, 1973 and together they raised two children in Prince Rupert. She passed away on July 5, 2019 at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital surrounded by family.
Domenica was an active member of the community as she worked at locations in the city including Rupert Cleaners, School District 52, Alaska Ferries, and as a business owner she helped manage Gateway City Motors - Volkswagen Dealership.
Domenica was a caring, accommodating, helpful, and an extremely loving person. She loved to laugh and brightened any room. Her laugh could be heard before she was seen. She was an amazing individual who welcomed everyone with open arms. Coffee was always on, and treats ready to be thawed from the freezer. She was a woman who had great love for her friends and family, and was very proud of her five grandchildren.
She always had a story to tell. She was a woman of great faith, and her dedication to her church was apparent. She was an active member of the Catholic Woman League where she proudly served for over 15 years.
A funeral was held at the Church of the Annunciation in Prince Rupert on July 12, 2019. In accordance with her wishes her final resting place was at the Gardens of Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery in Surrey, on July 29, 2019.
