We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Deborah Louise McKeown (nee Cook). Debbie is survived by her Father; Thomas Cook, Partner; Douglas Sheppard, Daughter; Kristin (Cameron), Step- daughters; Stacey (Richard) and Kimberley (Cameron), her Brothers; Terry (Beverly) and Dan (Yvonne), Nieces Brandy, Glenda, Danielle and Caitlyn and her Grandchildren Quinn, Claire, Kennedy and Max.
Debbie was born and raised in Prince Rupert, BC and lived there throughout her entire life. She worked at BC Packers in Rushbrooke and retired in 2016 to live the good life. She was also an avid traveller and her and Doug tried to have an annual trip with close friends to different sunny destinations, though Mexico was a favourite.
When they were at home, you could often find Debbie with Doug walking their dogs, out on the Harbour in their sailboat, Footloose, or spending time with friends at their cabin on Prudhomme, out on the town, or having a fire at their house. She had an infectious laugh, loved to dance and wasn't afraid to strike up a conversation with any stranger, and make a new friend.
She was truly a treasure, and she will be deeply missed.
Due to the current Health Concerns surrounding the Corona Virus, her service for will be announced at a later date to ensure the safety for those gathering and travelling from out of town
