October 21, 1926 - October 6, 2018
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was raised a "Prairie Girl" in such Saskatchewan towns as Lampman, Weyburn & Regina. After graduation from the University of Manitoba, she moved to Armstrong, BC to begin teaching;

it was here she met, and married, William Maurice Scott. They moved to Prince Rupert, living there for nearly forty years. During that time, she taught Home Economics at the high school and was active in such activities as the Library Board, the City Council and the local CBC station. How she found the time, while raising four sons, is still amazing to her family. Upon Maurice's retirement, they moved to Victoria; unfortunately, Maurice passed away less than one year afterwards. Daphne continued her community activities, with the University Women's Club, Probus, and travels with her family and friends.

She is survived by her four sons: Martin (Cathy); Tom (Michelle); Allan (Linda, deceased) and Jamie (Pat), seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

There will be a private inurnment, at a later date. Our thanks to the Staff of Sunrise Manor.
