Galloway, Daniel Lester On December 24th our dear friend peacefully passed on to the other side,
continuing his journey after losing his battle with cancer. Dan was born in Portland, Oregon in 1947, lived in Nevada and California before heading to Haida Gwaii in 1971 . Here he spent over 30 years as a hard working fisherman, carpenter, cabinetmaker, lover, mentor, healer, and musician before moving on to Kelowna, and then finally North Vancouver. His huge heart, honesty, boundless humour, and his deep compassion will be with us always, as will his smile." the cutest guy in the picture".
He leaves behind a son , Shannon, in Dallas, Texas, brother Tim in Mina, Nevada and a much loved sister Kerry, in Lonepine, CA., as well as the multitude of people he shared his love with.
A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet RD , North Vancouver on Jan. 16 2015 at 2 pm, as well as a celebration of his life in the Port Clements community hall May 16 2015.
