Apr 17, 1985 - Jan 4, 2018
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cody Donald Scheuerman. After a two year battle with cancer Cody passed on January 4th at Vancouver General Hospital with the love of his life Samantha Kasdorf and his mother Lea Scheuerman by his side.

Cody was born April 17, 1985 in Calgary. Moving to Kitimat in 1995 he found the area he loved. After attending college in Prince Rupert he knew he had found his home and would call the town home forever. He loved everything the area had to offer making this decision easy for Cody.

An avid fisherman from the time he caught his first fish, Cody went to work for DFO in Prince Rupert where him and Samantha would meet. A few years later, Cody became a commercial fisherman. He could also quite often be seen fishing off the dock at Rushbrook or Cow Bay.

In passing, Cody leaves his fiance Samantha Kasdorf of Prince Rupert, his parents Murray and Lea Scheuerman of Calgary, and brother Jordan Scheuerman  of Taber. Grandma Helen Scheuerman of Calgary and Grampa John Schilder of Taber and of course his beloved dog Hirsch.

Cody was predeceased by younger brother Wylie Scheuerman.

Cody also leaves a large extended family of Aunts and Uncles and numerous cousins, that all held a very special place in Cody's heart.

Cody had such an infectious personality and love for life that people could not help but be drawn to. His and Samantha's network of friends are a testament to this.

The support that these friends gave to Cody during  his fight was beyond belief.

The family is forever indebted to this group of supporters.

Please join us in a celebration of life for  Cody Saturday, Jan. 20th at 2 p.m. at the Lester Centre of the Arts.
