December 14, 2001 – June 15, 2020
We are devastated and so very heartbroken to announce the tragic passing of our beautiful sweet daughter Chloe Ann Eduarda Soares Chemko on Monday, June 15, 2020. Chloe was born in Terrace BC on December 14, 2001 to Sandy and Ken. Chloe attended Veritas Catholic School from Kindergarten to Grade 3 where she started forever friendships.
Sandy and Mike got married in 2010 and they moved along with their dog Tanner and cat Fluffy to the City of Prince Rupert to start a new chapter of their lives. Chloe attended Annunciation Catholic School from Grade 4 to Grade 8, where she was very welcome by her new friends and amazing teachers. Chloe then attended Charles Hayes Secondary School (CHSS) from Grade 9 to Grade 12 where Chloe was known by all no matter what grade. Chloe graduated last June 14, 2019.
Chloe was the light in every room she had an infectious smile and beautiful laughter. Chloe leaves behind her Mother Sandy Kaardal and Step Father Mike Kaardal, her little brother Kristofer and little sister Sofie Kaardal. Her Dad Ken Chemko (Chelsey Hannam), Vovo John Soares, Grandmother Anne Chemko, Grandparents Anna and Morris Kaardal, and many Aunts and Uncles as well as her Cousins and numerous entourage of friends. Chloe is pre-deceased by her Avo Eduarda Soares and Grandpa Bill Chemko, Uncle Tim Wall, Uncle Bryan Kaardal, and many more family and friends.
We would like to thank Dr. Tania DeKlerk and her professional medical team. We would like to thank her BFFs Nadeen Sandberg, Giana Evans, Kate Morse, Morgan Verissimo, and Sky Olmsted just to name a few and a special thank you to Danielle Sampson whom Chloe loved very much and for brightening her days to the end. Chloe is a shining light that can never be put out in our hearts.
