In Loving Memory ~
Carla Zanella was born in Feltre Italy May of 1937. She was the youngest of three siblings, two sisters and a brother, and enjoyed her youth on her family farm in the Alps and later worked as a governess for a count.
In the 1950's, Carla met her future husband in Italy, Ernesto Zanella. Carla emigrated to Canada in 1958, married Ernie, and both lived happily in Prince Rupert. Carla had three children, Albert, Dan, and Diana (Matt) and was the proud nonna of her two grandchildren, Alyssa and Sofia.
Carla worked in the cannery in her later years until her retirement.
She is predeceased by Ernie and Albert. Carla loved her friends and community and kept in touch with her extended family living in Italy returning to visit throughout the years. She spent her last days at the Langley Hospice close to her family who live in the Fraser Valley; she passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2022.
Carla, you will be greatly missed and we love you!
