In loving memory ~
Born in Saskatchewan Morris grew up knowing the farm life through the dirty 30's and World War 2. At the age of 15 Morris moved with his family to Prince Rupert where he attended Booth Memorial High School. He left to Alberta to attend Camrose Lutheran Bible School, where he met the love of his life Anna.
Anna and Morris got married on May 15, 1957 where shortly after they moved to Prince Rupert. They were blessed with 4 kids; Bryan, Michael, Diane and Duane, many Grandkids and great grand kids, not to mention they were considered honorary grandparents, aunt and uncle too many.
Morris had several jobs before working at the Mill on Watson Island, where he retired after 42 years at the age of 65. Throughout his life, Morris would volunteer in our community in many forms throughout his life, the most recent being the Prince Rupert Seafarers Mission. On September 18, 2018, Morris was honored with a volunteer award by the International Sailors Society.
Morris was devoted to his family and his faith. He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church throughout his life and exemplified what it means to live a life in service to others.
A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Prince Rupert Seafarers Mission, St Paul's Lutheran Church or other charity of your choice.
