In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Audrey Nelson on May 16, 2023 at Prince Rupert Acropolis Manor.
Audrey was born in Calgary, Alberta and grew up in White Rock, BC. She moved to Prince Rupert area in 1957 and made a life with her family.
Audrey worked as the Postmaster for Canada Post in Port Edward for many years. She then became a cannery timekeeper for BC Packers. Later she moved to gillnet account clerk for BC Packers and Canadian Fish.
She worked until the late 1990's when she retired to spend more time with her much-loved grandchildren and flower garden.
She is predeceased by her husband Jake. She is survived by her children Bonnie (Bob) and Raymond (Lorraine).
She also leaves behind grandchildren, Raymond, Willie, Kyle and Jeffrey and great-grandchildren Ameena, Naveed, Hayden and Eleanor.
Audrey was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed forever.
We would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Acropolis Manor for the 2 years of care our mother received.
