Alirio Santos Rocha (76), passed away on April 17, 2018, after a valiant struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was surrounded by his wife Edite and children: Elizabete (Bill), Susan & Andrew. He has four beloved grandchildren, Marisol, Liam, Xavier and Amalia. He was predeceased by his children George and Andrea. Alirio was born in Portugal in 1942.
He moved to Mozambique at age 14, and came to Canada in 74. His dedication to family, strong work ethic and humour is his living legacy. As he struggled to breathe in his last days, he took time to make others laugh. Alirio reminded us "to be kind to one another."
The family thanks the kind doctors and nurses at UHNBC and the support of family and friends.
Funeral service to be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Prince George, B.C. on Wed April 25 @ 10:00 am. The service will be preceded by a viewing, 9:00 - 9:45 am.
