The streets of downtown Prince Rupert were packed on Tuesday night as hundreds came out to celebrate the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks that will send them to the Stanley Cup finals for the first time in 17 years.

Horns were honking, flags were waving and the intersection of 3rd Avenue West and Fulton was epicentre of it all with one fan wearing a Vancouver Canucks headdress and dancing around with a goalie stick. Traffic was backed up from Five Corners to McBride in both directions in a parade that started just minutes after Kevin Bieksa scored in double overtime, and the sounds of the horns could be heard all the way back to Atlin and Graham.
