The Friendship House, Gitmaxmak'ay, the Prince Rupert Community Enrichment Society and the Salvation Army hosted a community block party on Aug. 28, closing off 7th Street for the celebration.
The event included live music, a bouncy castle, crafts, games, giveaways, educational booth and more.
