UPDATE: Winterfest fireworks being rescheduled to later date

The Prince Rupert Special Events Society is now hoping to reschedule the fireworks show scheduled for Winterfest to later in December.

Joy Sundin of the Prince Rupert Special Events Society says the group is now hoping to reschedule the fireworks show originally scheduled for Winterfest weekend to later in December.

 

ORIGINAL:

Due to weather concerns, the fireworks scheduled for 8:15 p.m. last night have been tentatively rescheduled for 8:15 pm. tonight.

Joy Sundin of the Prince Rupert Special Events Society said a call will be made today whether or not to proceed with the fireworks based on the forecast for the evening.
