Prince Rupert RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a man missing since early Sunday morning.

Adam Moore, 26, was last seen in the area of 7-11 at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 29 and has not been seen or heard from since. Further inquiries from the Prince Rupert RCMP determined Moore may have driven to Terrace in his black 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, licence plate 517 NVV, but officers have not been able to corroborate those reports.

On Jan. 2, Prince Rupert RCMP began an aerial search along the Hwy 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert, Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (Station 64 – Prince Rupert) searched along the waters of the Skeena River and Terrace Search and Rescue undertook a search on foot between the two communities.

“We’re doing everything we possibly can to locate this individual,” said Const. Matt Ericson of the Prince Rupert RCMP.

“Adam’s family and friends are very concerned of his whereabouts, and we are making an appeal to Prince Rupert and the surrounding communities for any information that may assist us in locating Adam.”

Moore is described as six feet tall, 176 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. Those who called the RCMP advised that Moore had been suffering from possible symptoms of depression.

As this investigation is ongoing, the Prince Rupert RCMP is asking anyone that may have information regarding this incident to contact the Prince Rupert RCMP Detachment at 250-627-0700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
