UPDATED: Popular B.C. travel vloggers identified as Shannon Falls victims

Two men tried to rescue a woman who had been swept away

Squamish RCMP say they have recovered the bodies of three hikers who were swept away by the waters in Shannon Falls Provincial Park Tuesday afternoon.

Cpl. Sascha Banks. said that the pools at Shannon Falls were not accessible by side trails, so teams spent hours trying to figure out how to recover the bodies of the hikers.

“It’s not accessible unless you drop into this pool and there’s no way other than to say that it’s extremely dangerous to get there so that’s something that we’re trying to figure out the logistics of.”

Friends have identified the three hikers as Ryker Gamble, Mindy Megan Scraper and Alexey Lyakh.

Scraper was swept into a pool 30 metres below the one she was in at Shannon Falls, and the two men were swept away trying to rescue her.

The trio were all members High On Life, a popular YouTube travel vlogging channel know for daring stunts out in nature.

Gamble and other members of the group had gotten in trouble with U.S. authorities in 2016, when rangers said they walked onto a “geothermal feature”
