Stolen vehicle crashed on Frederick Street

A few minutes after midnight on March 18, a single vehicle crash was reported near Frederick Street and Applewhaite Drive. Police think the vehicle was speeding, which caused the vehicle to go off the road, hit a rock wall and a signpost. Nobody was at the scene when police arrived. When officers called the vehicle’s registered owners, they discovered it was stolen. It was seized and will be processed by the Prince Rupert forensic identification section. Corporal Devon Gerrits said they have a few suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
