Stabbing and robbery keep Prince Rupert RCMP busy last night

On August 10, 2011 at approximately 11:50 p.m., the Prince Rupert RCMP received a call stating PJ's Midway grocery had just been robbed by a male wearing a black mask and a dark grey/charcoal hoodie.

On August 10, 2011 at approximately 11:50 p.m., the Prince Rupert RCMP received a call stating PJ's Midway grocery had just been robbed by a male wearing a black mask and a dark grey/charcoal hoodie.

The male is described to be approximately 5'5" tall. The store employee provided the male with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during this robbery and police are reviewing the store’s video surveillance. This investigation is on going and police are seeking the public’s help with anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery or if you have any information about this crime, you are asked to please contact Cst. On August 11, 2011, at approximately 1:40 a.m., the Prince Rupert RCMP was called to assist ambulance attendants with a victim who had been stabbed in Moresby Park. The police dog was called to attend the location but was unsuccessful in tracking a suspect. At this time this is an ongoing investigation and the police are looking for anyone who may have information regarding this individual or incident. You are asked to please contact Cst.
