Just after being named the CCHA Rookie of the Month for February, Prince Rupert's Frank Slubowski received another honour for his play with the University of Western Michigan Broncos.
Slubowski was one of two Broncos players named to the CCHA All-rookie team. During the season, he started 27 games and set a record for the university team with a goals against average of 2.03. He finished with a record of 13-10-4 and a .909 saves percentage.
His team finished tied for second in the CCHA, and will face Lake Superior State this weekend in the playoff quarterfinals.
