~From the Prince Rupert RCMP
On January 16th, 2012 at approximately 10:00 pm , Prince Rupert RCMP were dispatched to an Armed Robbery at the Maverick Foods on 11th Ave East in Prince Rupert.
The suspect entered the store completely dressed in black wearing a black balaclava while brandishing a knife. The suspect demanded the cash from the till and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The Prince Rupert RCMP Police Dog Service was called out and a search of the area was conducted, but were unable to locate the suspect. The matter is under investigation.
