RCMP make public appeal for assistance

The Prince Rupert RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating the owners of two wheelchairs that were found Thursday.

On April 5th, 2012 the Prince Rupert RCMP received a compliant of two wheelchairs being found in a basketball court near the 1200 block of Hays Cove Avenue in Prince Rupert, BC.

Upon receiving the complaint members of the General Duty Section attended the area and located two black wheelchairs.  Further inspection of the found property determined that there were no identifying marks indicating who the owner(s) may be.

"The Prince Rupert RCMP would like to make an appeal to the community for any information regarding the found property".  Stated Cst. Ericson spokesman for the Prince Rupert RCMP.  "Our overall goal is to identify the rightful owners of the wheelchairs and get their property back to them".
