Jonathan Knight has been missing since Wednesday.

After locating the boat used by Jonathan Knight to cross the Skeena River yesterday, RCMP are hoping the Prince Rupert missing man returns to the river.

"At this point we don't have anything. We just hope that if he needs assistance or runs out of food that will be come back to where the raft was or to the river banks and our search and rescue personnel will find him there," said Cpl. Dave Tyreman on Friday morning.

RCMP were joined by the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 64 out of Prince Rupert and the Terrace Ground Search and Rescue along the Skeena River on Thursday, and Tyreman said he and the searchers are far from finished.

"We still have a full search and rescue crew out looking today. We definitely have not given up on finding him."

Knight was last seen at 2:45 p.m. on May 7, while his vehicle was located at Telegraph Point. The investigation revealed he had purchased a seven-foot inflatable boat to attend a cabin in the Khatada Lake/Davis Lake area
