Slubowski has been named a freshman All-American by Inside College Hockey, picked up his second CCHA Rookie of the Month for his performance and was named the College Hockey News’ All-Freshman team after helping lead the University of Western Michigan Broncos to the CCHA tournament championship.

At the university level, Slubowski was named team MVP and Rookie of the Year at the program’s year-end banquet. Slubowski finished the year with a program record 2.03 goals against average and a save percentage of .911.
