Two officers were conducting a foot patrol in a local bar over the weekend and caught two men in the washroom exchanging cash for cocaine. One of the officers became suspicious when he entered the washroom and saw two sets of feet in a closed stall. Both men were arrested for trafficking and taken back to the detachment. One of the males claimed that the cocaine suddenly appeared in his pocket, but not sure how it got there. If you had the ability to make things appear, I would hope you would use your powers for good like wishing for world peace and the end of child poverty, not a quick high. Both men were released with an upcoming court date.

A taxi driver was given a $167 ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in the Cow Bay area. The vehicle was backing up and struck the pedestrian who attended the hospital with minor injuries Winter weather is definitely here, please drive relative to conditions and take the extra time to clean off all windows and lights so you can see and be seen out there.

I know boys love their toys and like to show them off, but blaring your base-heavy stereo system in front on the mall and disturbing countless people is really not cool. It can earn you a by-law ticket, a court date for cause a disturbance, and may lead to not being able to hear your grandchildren say “I love you” due to premature hearing loss. I love AC/DC too, just turn it down a few decibels.

A white male approximately 5’7”, in his 20s and wearing a puffy winter jacket was seen checking door handles and walking through yards in the Pillsbury area last week. If you see any suspicious activity please call it in right away. Sometimes it seems like the dispatcher is playing 20 questions with you, but even while you are still providing them with info, they can be sending out an officer. The quicker you make the call the better chance the officers and the police dog have of tracking down these individuals.

A counterfeit $20 was reported when a deposit was made at one of the local banks. Make sure you and your employees are checking the security features on all bills. A police officer was waved down by a noticeably intoxicated male in the wee hours of the morning, checks revealed that he was on conditions not to consume alcohol. It is always nice when people breaking the law come to you. Another incident that proves that alcohol and reason do not go hand in

hand.

Police attended after an intoxicated male alleged he was assaulted by a bar employee. Witnesses stated the male had not been assaulted and had in fact been verbally abusive to staff all night. The complainant vehemently denied this and became verbally abusive toward the police officer and proceeded to make obscene gestures with his middle fingers. I wonder who is telling the truth? Case closed.
