Prince Rupert RCMP arrest man for theft from motor vehicle

On January 12 at approximately six a.m. RCMP in Prince Rupert received a complaint of a suspicious male entering parked vehicles.

On January 20, 2012 at approximately six a.m. RCMP in Prince Rupert received a complaint of a suspicious male entering parked vehicles in the northeast area of Prince Rupert.

Shortly after six am while patrolling the area, police located and arrested a male on Overlook Street for a variety of property related offences. When arrested the male was in possession of a significant amount of identifiable property which is believed to have been stolen from vehicles in the area. As the matter is still under investigation, police are asking for assistance in identifying the seized stolen property.

Police have recommended charges of Theft from Motor Vehicle and Possession of Stolen Property against the adult male whom has been released on a Promise to Appear with conditions.
