Residents of the North Coast are being invited to help celebrate the life and accomplishments of NDP leader Jack Layton this Saturday.
The event in Prince Rupert will take place at the Ocean View Hotel beginning at 11 a.m on August 27. Coffee and tea will be provided, and coverage of the service for Jack Layton's being held in Toronto will be broadcast on the television. Residents will also have the opportunity to sign the book of condolences that is currently being housed at the constituency office on 3rd Avenue West.
Similar events are being held at the Skeena Mall in Terrace, the CAW Hall in Kitimat and the Alpenhorn Pub in Smithers.
