Prince Rupert date set for LNG tour

A date has been set for Prince Rupert's portion of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) tour put on by Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen.

A date has been set for Prince Rupert's portion of  the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) tour put on by Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen.

Prince Rupert's event was originally set to take place in November, however it had to be postponed as LNG proponents had to pull out because of conflicting scheduling.

The event will give Rupertites a chance to hear what LNG could mean for the region from multiple perspectives under one roof, and to ask questions and make their voices heard in the process. The point of the tour is to bring together all perspectives in an open and informed conversation.

Cullen, Friends of Wild Salmon, LNG proponents, local First Nations, economic development groups and other community partners will be in attendance for an open and educational discussion on what LNG development could mean for communities in the region.

Prince Rupert's event will take place at the Tom Rooney Playhouse on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
