TERRACE RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a third vehicle that is believed to be involved in yesterday’s fatal crash on Hwy 16.
We have information that a third vehicle was potentially involved in this collision which fled the scene heading west towards Prince Rupert. This vehicle is believed to be a dark coloured Dodge pickup truck. The truck is believed to have front passenger side damage,

A 27-year-old man from Prince Rupert lost his life in the crash that occurred on Hwy 16 West at the 104 km mark yesterday at approximately 3 p.m.
A Honda Civic travelling west lost control and collided head-on with an empty dual axle gravel truck travelling east.
The 31-year-old driver of the Honda, also from Prince Rupert, was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
The 58-year-old driver of the gravel truck was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Road conditions at the time were snow covered and slippery.
