Thirteen dogs and their owners took part in the short walkathon, which the SPCA hopes will raise $8,000 to help fun their operations. Exactly how much was raised this year won’t be known until all of the private and corporate donations are tallied on Monday.

The manager of the Prince Rupert branch of the SPCA, Anna Terebka says that if they don’t reach their goal, they’ll probably have to hold some pub night fundraisers to make up the rest.
