New director named to Prince Rupert Port Authority board of directors

The Prince Rupert Port Authority has a new board member following an appointment by Minister Denis Lebel.

The Prince Rupert Port Authority has a new board member following an appointment by Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities Denis Lebel.

Jennifer Clarke of Vancouver has been appointed to a three year term on the board effective March 1. She replaces businessman and Human Resources Committee Chair James Armitage.

Clarke comes from a journalism background, working as a producer and journalist for various television stations in the United States and in Canada in the 1970s before moving on to teach fourth-year undergraduate political science at the University of British Columbia. In 2003, she founded JPC Strategies Ltd., a firm that provides project management and advice on a variety of issues, including public policy, infrastructure financing and development, governance, regulatory matters and government relations and spent 10 years as a councillor for the City of Vancouver. Recently, she ran as a candidate for the Conservative party in the 2011 election.
