Lumber truck rolls over at Port Edward turnoff

Prince Rupert emergency response were called out to the scene of a flipped lumber truck earlier this afternoon at the Port Edward turnoff.

Crews were on-site to clear up the piles of lumber at the Port Edward turnoff.

Prince Rupert emergency response were called out to the scene of a flipped lumber truck earlier this afternoon at the turnoff to Port Edward.

According to Cst. Ryan Stevenson of the Prince Rupert RCMP a lumber truck was traveling westbound when it made the turn, but it was traveling too quickly and rolled over. Fire, police and ambulance attended the scene, briefly closing the Port Edward turnoff, but the road was re-opened shortly thereafter as clean-up crews arrived.

Nobody was injured as a result of the accident.
