UPDATE: Highway 16 reopened between Rupert and Terrace

Highway 16 reopened 8 p.m. on Feb. 27

The highway has reopened between Prince Rupert and Terrace after a closure longer than eight hours. DriveBC announced Highway 16 was closed in both directions due to a high avalanche hazard, following days of delays for avalanche control.
