A former Prince Rupert Minor Hockey coach and referee pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation during a court hearing today.

Robert John Paolinelli entered a guilty plea to one charges of sexual exploitation at a scheduled court appearance in Stony Plain Alberta. Sentencing has been scheduled for December 21.

Reports are conflicting on the other charges being faced by the 42 year old, who coached and refereed in Prince Rupert between the mid-80s and late 90s, which include sexual assault and forcible confinement. CBC reports that the Crown withdrew the other charges, CTV reports that Paolinelli reserved a plea on the charges and Edmonton-based iNews880 AM reports that the charges will be dealt with at the December 21 hearing.
