Election signs are blooming for the season

Prince Rupert is getting its first signs of election season, with sections of the city covered in signs.

Prince Rupert is seeing the first signs of election season with sections of the city covered in fresh blue signs.

Just overnight, a couple men were seen building setting up wooden frames along McBride Avenue. The work began on Sunday and in only a few days the Liberal candidate, Herb Pond, has made his mark on the city.

The political signage is premature of the official writ day on April 11 when the B.C. election is scheduled to be called for May 9. It’s already game on in Prince Rupert and in other parts of the province.
