The downtown of Prince Rupert exploded with jubilation on Friday evening after the Vancouver Canuks beat the Boston Bruins 1 – 0, bringing them only one win away from taking home the Stanley Cup for the first time ever.
In Prince Rupert, the downtown rang with the sound of car horns and cheering fans. The team flags were waving, fans brought out their jerseys and costumes, and some people were quite literally dancing in the street.
