A bomb squad from Prince George safely destroyed industrial explosives in the region this morning.
The squad made the eight-hour trip yesterday, but it was never a public safety conern.
“There’s an area where some explosives have been located, but it’s some stuff that has been there for awhile,” Sgt. Dave Uppal of the Prince Rupert RCMP said yesterday while awaiting the bomb squad’s arrival.
Uppal said there is no danger to the public and the explosives were in a remote area cordoned off.
