BC Ferries cancels Oct. 8 Prince Rupert – Skidegate service

BC Ferries has cancelled the 10:00 a.m. ferry to Haida Gwaii, while the 10:00 p.m. service ferry from Skidegate is also cancelled

Due to high winds and heavy rainfall, the Oct. 8 10:00 a.m. BC Ferries’ Northern Expeditions scheduled departure from Prince Rupert to Haida Gwaii has been cancelled.As well, the 10:00 p.m. service ferry from Skidegate to Prince Rupert has also been cancelled.

BC Ferries’ revised schedule lists sailings still planned for the following dates and times:

10:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 – departing Prince Rupert

10:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12 – departing from Skidegate (added sailing)

10:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12 – departing from Prince Rupert (added sailing)

10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 – departing Skidegate

The service cancellation notice states that customers with a reservation on a cancelled sailing will be moved to the added sailing and contacted by BC Ferries.
