On Day 2 of the Skeena Valley Ladies Open, Prince Rupert's duo of Trudy Dolan and Jackie Touchet had to go low.
They were up to the task, carding a second-round 69 in the scramble format to force a playoff. A par on the first playoff hole was good enough for Dolan and Touchet to hoist the championship trophy.
The tournament was played over two days July 6 - 7. On Day 1, the women played the front nine in the Chapman Alternate format, in which both players hit first shots, then hit each other's balls for the second shots. They then select the best of those two and play alternate shot until the ball is holed.
The back 9 was played in a best ball format, in which both players play their own ball all the way through to the hole, but only the best of the two scores is carded.
