The Northern BC Tourism Association (NBCTA) is hosting a presentation and discussion session on Sept. 16 to aid tourism and tourism-related businesses in Prince Rupert.

NBCTA is a non-profit organization governed by a board elected from the industry. It collaborates with the provincial government and Destination BC to promote and develop the tourism sector across northern B.C.

Their event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Visitor Information Centre in Cow Bay.

Association representatives will help participants learn about business support, sustainability journey support, research, emergency management, and communication.

They also offer businesses a Tourism Resiliency Program, which helps them implement resilience practices to navigate the impacts of COVID-19 and other disruptive events.

"Come chat with us about your challenges and aspirations and how we can support you in developing your part of a strong tourism industry in Northern B.C.," said NBCTA on Facebook.

Northern B.C. Tourism Summit

NBCTA is also hosting the Northern BC Tourism Summit in Prince George from Oct. 22 to 24, 2024.

They have returned with this event for the first time since 2019.

It will include keynote speeches by industry experts, discussions, and workshops aimed at equipping attendees with knowledge and insights into trends and strategies for adapting in their organizations and businesses.
