Rupert police arrested a 36-year-old man and confiscated illicit drugs, weapons and cash while executing a search warrant at a house on 400 block of Dunsmuir St. on July 25.

They found Cody Kaleb Fenton, the lone occupant of the house and charged him with robbery, assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of firearms or ammunition.

The investigation is ongoing on "significant quantities" of suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and fentanyl they seized.

“The Prince Rupert RCMP wishes to make it abundantly clear to those engaging in the drug trade that enforcement will continue,” said the RCMP in a news release on July 27.

Police say reports from the public have been a big help in the curtailment of the drug trade in Prince Rupert.
