The district of Port Edward's Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Todd Francis has resigned, effective Oct. 18.
Mayor Knut Bjorndal publicly announced this news during the district's regular council meeting on Oct. 8.
Francis had only taken on his role at Port Edward in January this year, after serving as the CAO at Stewart, B.C. Prior to that, he had worked as city staff in Fort Resolution in the Northwest Territories and in various Ontario communities before making the move to northern B.C.
When council hires a new CAO, they will be the fourth one the district has seen in the last two years.
