A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Third Avenue on Feb. 21 just past noon had traffic stalled and redirected briefly, though it was quickly cleared away.

No occupants of either vehicle were injured, though one went to the hospital as a precaution, according to Brody Hemrich, Prince Rupert RCMP media relations officer.

The driver’s door on one of the vehicles had to be pulled off by the Prince Rupert fire department, as it had caved in as a result of the crash.

Hemrich said the crash was due to driver error, and no drugs or alcohol were involved. It appears the driver of a grey SUV entered the intersection westbound and was t-boned by a white van headed north on Fulton.

No charges have been laid.
