Man missing from New Hazelton may have gone to Vancouver

Sheldon McDonald has not been seen since Nov. 17 and was reported missing on Nov. 21.

The New Hazelton RCMP are continuing to search for a missing man.

Sheldon McDonald has not been seen since Nov. 17 and was reported missing on Nov. 21. Efforts made by police and family to locate him have been unsuccessful.

McDonald is described as an Indigenous male; 46 years, 5’ 10 and 155 lbs. He has brown eyes, black hair and tattoos on his wrist, chest, arm and neck.

Police say while not confirmed, they are investigating information that Sheldon may have gone with an unknown man to Vancouver. Police have been unable to substantiate this detail.

In a poster, released by family members, it stated he was last seen at Gitwangak Northern Health First Nations.
