On Thursday, January 20, the Lions Clubs International District Governor for District 19A, Troy Dalen, came to Prince Rupert to make his official visitation to the Kaien Island Lions Club, Prince Rupert Lions Club, and Port Edward Lions Club.

During his visit, Dalen encouraged Lions Club members to steer away from making meetings into merely just a social gathering and to stick with being a service club, which is what being a Lion is all about.

Dalen also mentioned that getting younger members to join the club is one of his goals as District Governor for the coming term.

Dalen has only been a Lion since 2003, but already has been the 1st Vice President, Zone Chairman, and Vice District Governor for the organization.
