Students from the Dance Academy of Prince Rupert took the Lester Centre of the Arts stage two days in a row, showing off their moves in Cirque de la Danse, the dance school's year-end recital.

DAPR had so many students this year that all the material couldn't fit into one year-end show. The two performances of Cirque de la Danse, produced and directed by Teresa Mackereth, included numbers by the students taking ballet, hip hop, acrobatics, song and dance, jazz, Irish, tap and modern, as well as performances by DAPR's younger students taking preschool and boys only tumbling.

Cirque de la Danse, or A Circus of Dance, consisted of just under 50 dance numbers choreographed by the school's teachers including Meghan MacRae, Jennifer Kloopers, Shannon Vallee and Ken Shaw, as well as Tammy McVicar, Maria Cherniske, Antonio Jefferson, Deanna Limbert, Heather McRae, Erin McFadden, Amber Mackereth and Tara Crouse.
