The Watoto Children’s Choir was in Prince Rupert, performing at the Lester Centre of the Arts last Sunday to a packed audience. The choir has been traveling internationally since 1994, being advocates for over 50 million children in Africa, orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS, war, poverty and disease. The choir is accompanied by a team of adults, with the Watoto choirs acting as ambassadors to raise awareness about the plight of the orphaned and vulnerable children living in Africa.
