Prince Rupert's first Harvest Festival a success

The Salmonberry Farmer's Market hosted the Harvest Festival at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre on Oct. 26.

The Salmonberry Farmer's Market hosted the Harvest Festival at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre on Oct. 26.

The festival included games and activities, vendors and community group displays. The best pie in Prince Rupert went to Lisa Nimko, who received a gift certificate from Java.cup. The best jam went to Aurianne Duggleby for her mixed berry/lavender jam and second place went to Patty Rochon for her raspberry/blueberry jam. Best carved pumpkin went to Janette and Cheryl and second place went to Brockland. Best art was a tie between Jibou Bell and Sandra Callaghan.
